The Medical Education Common Entrance Examination for Bachelor Level Programs (MECEE-BL 2026) is a competitive medical entrance exam conducted in Nepal for students seeking admission into various health professional programs, including:

Examination Structure (2026)
The MECEE-BL 2026 will be conducted in five separate clusters on consecutive days, with each cluster having its own merit list. Candidates must select programs within their chosen cluster. The clusters are:

- BDS
- BSc Nursing / BSc Midwifery, BASLP, B. Perfusion Technology
- BAMS, BNS/BMS, BSc MLT, BSc MIT, B.Pharm, B.Optometry, BPT
- BPH
Exam Format & Scoring
Total Questions: 200 MCQs (Single Best Response Type)
Exam Duration: 3 Hours
Marking Scheme:
+1 for each correct answer
-0.25 for each wrong answer
Mental Agility Test: 20 MCQs (included in the total 200 questions)
Selection & Admission Process
- Candidates must score at least the 50th percentile to be eligible for the merit list.
- Seat allocation will be done through the Open House Matching System.
- If there are fewer qualified foreign candidates than available seats, matching will be done in a single round.
- Each academic program will have its own separate merit list.
- Once a candidate secures admission in a program, they will no longer be considered for other programs.
Admission Requirements
- Original academic certificates must be submitted at the time of admission.
- Candidates must arrange their own travel and accommodation.
- All applicants must follow the Government of Nepal's regulations.

- BAMS / B.Pharm / BPT:
- Reduced Physics & Chemistry (40 Qs each)
- Extra 20 Qs from Diploma-level subjects
- BPH (Public Health):
- Includes 20 Qs on public health (diseases, sanitation, biostatistics)
- BNS (Nursing):
- 150 Nursing-specific Qs (Midwifery, Community Health)
- 30 Basic Science Qs
Common for All:
- 20 Mental Ability Questions (Logical, Numerical, Spatial Reasoning).
- Negative marking | 50th percentile cutoff.
