MECEE-PG 2025: Notice for Foreign Candidates
1. Application Overview
Programs Offered: MD/MS, MDS, MPH, MD Ayurveda, Nursing/Midwifery, MPharm, MSc MIT, MSc Microbiology/Biochemistry, M Optometry, MPhil Clinical Psychology, MPT.
Eligibility:
- Sub-category I (Foreign to appear): Must take MECEE-PG 2025 exam.
- Sub-category II (Foreign NOT to appear): Apply based on prior merit (≥50th percentile in home country's equivalent exam).
Application Period:
- Regular: 2–22 Dec 2024 (fee: NPR 8,000).
- Late: 22–29 Dec 2024 (double fee).

3. Eligibility Criteria
- MD/MS/MDS/MPH: Relevant bachelor's degree (MBBS/BDS/BPH, etc.) + council registration.
- Nursing/Midwifery: BN/BNS/BSc Nursing + registration.
- MPharm/MSc MIT: Bachelor's in respective field + registration.
4. Selection Process
- Merit-Based: Open-house matching for seats.
- Priority to Sub-category I candidates.
- Unfilled seats allocated to Sub-category II.
- Documents Required: Passport, academic transcripts, council registration, photo/signature.
5. Examination Format
- 200 MCQs (Single Best Answer).
- Duration: 3 hours.
- Marking: +1 for correct, −0.25 for wrong.
- Pass Threshold: 50th percentile.
6. Admit Card & Exam Rules
- Download: 5 days before exam via MEC portal.
- ID Required: Passport/E-Aadhaar + printed admit card.
- Prohibited Items: Stationery, electronics, jewelry.
7. Important Notes
- Original documents must be submitted during admission.
- No private practice during residency.
- Biometric verification at exam center and admission.
